CANOE MISSISSIPPI

Canoe Mississippi is a project of the Okatoma Paddling Club. Our purpose is to promote canoeing and kayaking across the State of Mississippi. This site was launched just before the 2012 boating season and we plan to jump right in and "squoooosh the mud between our toes"...in other words, we plan to start this year organizing day floats and camping floats. Since all of our prior events have been held on Okatoma Creek, we really need some new volunteers that are familiar with other rivers and creeks. We would love to get canoe rental businesses involved in planning and, of course, we *love* group discounts!

We would love for ya to signup and become a member...it's free! We will not hound you with email and ads as this site is intended for fun, and that will not be tolerated. Also note that we will NEVER sell, trade or giveaway any personal information - that sort of thing is deplorable to us. So then, come on and be a part of our adventure.

We would also like to recruit authors to write about their canoeing adventures (refer to the FAQ section for details). For now, we are limiting our photo gallery to our organized group events. So, if you have some really great photos from one of our gatherings...feel free to submit them.
